I hate "Empire Records." Always have. Always will. It just smacks of trying so fucking hard. It was one of the things that helped turn 'alternative' into a pejorative. It's an awful movie.
But I still like that sugar high song.

Here's the thing about Empire Records. We all hate Liv Tyler, we all hate the emo guy who loves Liv Tyler, and we all hate Rex Manning.
But Lucas is awesome. Anyone who can justify gambling as "striking a blow at all that is evil and making this world a better place to be in" is all right by me.
Maybe thats just me.

Oliver once told me of a professor who was asked if there was going to be a quiz on a certain day. The professor responded with a dry, "No. Not on a Tuesday."
Babbles couldn't help but think of, "Not on Rex Manning Day."
He actually took the time to tell me this.
We've never really had much to talk about.
It was such a pointless exchange, I would have blogged it had the technology existed back in 2003.
It's official, we need a Rex Manning day. Someone pick a date for us to celebrate.
It can't be July 14th.
That's Bastille Day.
